The Wild Goose Chase
Powered by Castpost

We continue our Wild Goose Chase series this Sunday so I decided to chase a wild goose yesterday. Enjoy the Friday Vlog Feature.
It'll take a minute to load, but hopefully it's worth the wait. You can click play before it's completely buffered.

too funny! glad you avoided jail time. i love wondering what you and the team at NCC will do next.
one question... why barefoot?
Hilarious! Would have loved see you hauled away in the back of that park ranger's car!
Keep up the crazy creative work!
You sooo crazy! Mark, you da man. I think I liked
the video second only to the "Mr. Incredible" one!
Pastor Mark, thanks for the application and the laugh! I needed them both, today! Man, I LOVE my Church!
dude- you're nuts-
i love it
Thanks for risking your life for the church - because by jumping in the Anacostia (I think that's where you were) you were pretty much doing that. It has one of the highest pollutions of any river in the nation. I spent a day with the Earth Conservation Corp. once (they spend all of their team taking trash out of the river) and was given strict instructions to not even touch the water. Sick.
It was downright nasty. The water had a slimy feel to it.
The riverbank was littered with trash and I was afraid to touch bottom :)
Mark
What would you have done if you had succeeded in catching one? Maybe yoy'd better stick to feeding the geese.
Maybe he could have a Sunday goose dinner to go along with the message series?
Dan has a great point... what would you have done if you caught it?
From a cinematic perspective, the shot of you chasing the geese as they are flying (2:21) is an awesome shot. Great video.
A few reflections.
I went barefoot because I didn't want to get goose poop all over my dress shoes :) Plus it helped me "get in touch" with the land. Or something like that.
I have no idea what I would have done if I had caught a goose :) I was actually afraid that I'd chase a goose and a momma goose would start chasing me!
We live in the country and usually avoid "goose fields" because of what they leave behind. You're a brave (or maybe foolish) person to roll around in one. Consider wearing boots next time - you can wash them off. Want them to come you? Feed them - old bread, rolls, cookies...you'll have more geese than you can handle. One of our church's favorite sayings is "if you feed them, they will come", though we're usually referring to Christians.
So many times I think the goal is what is important when God just wants me to jump in the water...
